Crisp brown leaves are covering the ground, and a crisp pressed shirt is hanging on the wardrobe door.  The smell of warm toast rises up the stairs and crawls across the air, then wafts under his nose, waking him from his sweet slumber.  Sparky is in the kitchen cooking up a breakfast feast, when the telephone rings.  It is Lisa, asking if Evilest_Doom had risen from his tomb this morning. 
Over at Lisa's house there is a hive of activity.  Snicker Doodle, UpUpAway, AlainaWild, AlliePrincess, PrincessFaith, FantasyPepsi, Xierca, BottleRocket, Cansisena, Broohuave and Sparkidoodle are all running around MicroDotty with fabrics, makeup and hair products.  White material, black material, orange material, glitter, sparkly shoes, pumpkins, candles.....  every body is moving seemlessly and weaving in and out of each other while Lisa is bustling in the kitchen with orange and black icing all over her apron.
MichaelRubin sat at the breakfast table watching the world around him, wondering how it can be that today has come around so fast.  It seemed like only 5 minutes ago that they had been kids running around Aunt Sparkys lawn and Doom and Dotty had met.  MichealRubin smiles happily, before rising from the table, hugging his Mom tight and heading out the door.
Lisa feels a breeze on the back of her legs and sighs, wipes flour covered hands down her front and turns to close the door she presumes Michael Rubin has left open.  As she turns her frown turns into a massive grin  "PAYE!!!"  She wraps her friend in a big hug and looks happily over her shoulder and spots someone else "TINA!  BETH!  MOON!  LORI!  SHAWNA......  AND ASH?!?!"  She hugs and kisses each person before looking puzzled.  Lori puts an arm around Lisa and asks her what is worrying her.  By this time all the other gals and happily fussing around Dotty with the others.  "Well.....  I just thought Sandy and Gena would be able to make it"
*ding dong!*
"MUUUUMMMM!!!!  MUUUM!!  Where are my socks?!!" the scream from upstairs sounds panic striken 
"Muuuummm -- there is someone at the door" says Grundy as he heads towards the fridge.  Sparky rolls her eyes and goes to the door.  Before she manages to get there it flies open and Bubba, LittleMan, Davadan, and Drewps rampage through the house, laughing, playing and then head upstairs to see Doom.  Sandy and Gena stand on the door step and look sheepish.  "Sorry?"  But Sparky is just laughing and ushers the pair into the house.  "I'll put the kettle on" she says

The kettle whistles and Lisa lines up the tea cups as everyone chatters happily.  “I did something naughty” confesses Paye, Lisa gives her an unsure sideways look “I went over to ‘the Esophagor Inn’ to have a look at how it was all looking over there.”  A massive grin crosses her face  “Oh my goodness Leese it looks AMAZING!!”  Lisa blushes and shuffles the tea cups around.  “Well the kiddos helped out.  Do you want a cookie?”  Paye laughs at her friend and helps her make the tea.

“Do you want a cookie?”  Sparky asks as she lays the tea down on the table.  The house rumbles ever so slightly, and Sandy looks nervously over at Gena.  “MUUUUUUMMM!!  I said I can’t find my soc.....  oh!!  Cookies!!”  Doom wanders over to the table mesmerized and takes a chocolate chip cookie before shooting a prizing winning smile at Sandy and Gena and sauntering back out the kitchen.  Sparky rolls her eyes, and muses “Why do they even ask a question if they don’t stick around for the answer?!”

“Hellooooo?  Are you going to answer me?”  Dotty tilts her head to one side and looks at the crowd around her.  “How do I look?”  Dotty is standing in the middle of the living room on a box with a long black gown beautifully adoring her body.  Everyone looks stunned.  No-one has ever seen Dotty look so beautiful.  There is a bang on the door that startles everyone.  Lori peeps out the window “Oh my goodness NeoAutos are here!”  There is just a mess of excitement as hair is sprayed one last time, lipstick is checked, dresses are smoothed and girls chatter excitedly.  After what seems like an hour Lisa scans the now quiet house, picks up the blood red rose, and dragonbud bouquet from the kitchen table and heads out the door, to the 4 black cars waiting outside.

“I got them Aunt Sparky” cheers Jelaki, and places a box of dragonbud corsages on the table, just as the other boys come hurtling down the stairs and stand proudly in a line.  Sandy, Gena and Sparky look proudly at the boys, looking so smart in their tuxedos, and pin a corsage to each of their jackets.  The boys cheer and high five before careering out the front door.  Gena giggles and wonders “why are they so lazy around the house if they can run around so earnestly today?!”   Sandy interlinks arms with Gena and chuckles “MEN!”  Before all 3 ladies head out the door to the 2 cars outside the house.

Dotty stands nervously in a wing of the Esophagor Inn.

Doom stands nervously at one end of the grand hall.

Lisa looks around nervously at the decorations, wondering how it is that one of the veils now looks lop-sided.

Sparky looks around nervously because she can’t see where Zanderooni is with the rings.

Dotty smiles as she peeps through the crack in the door and spots her Beau down the other end of the room.

Doom smiles as he spots his best man LittleDoDo running late, as usual, burst through the door.

Lisa smiles as Moon squeezes her hand and whispers how beautiful everything looks

Sparky smiles as she spots Zanderooni being ‘attacked’ by his Momma as she wipes chocolate from his face.

And then the music starts.  It is a beautiful string quartet acoustic version of “There is a Light that Never Goes Out” (The Smiths) and Dotty emerges.  First 3 of her bridesmaids flap their dark wings and float down the aisle, scattering tiny coffin shaped confetti on the marbled floor.  Dotty walks through a thin sheer curtain of orange and black netting which has silvery spyder webs delicately spun and sewn through it.  She walks slowly but with purpose, as Barbats fly over head in the hall.  She smiles subtlely towards Doomy as she passes the carved pumpkins that line the aisle.  She clutches her bouquet and looks at all the smiling faces around her, every single one in Fancy Dress for Halloween.  For Doom and Dotty’s Hallowedding.

Doom shifts nervously side to side, swishing his tail slightly, and does not come to stand still until his beautiful bride arrives at his side.  The ceremony does not last long, but many beautiful words are spoken, and everyone beams as Zanderooni practically runs down the aisle with rings for the happy couple.

There is so much food at the reception that the guests wonder how the tables haven’t fallen over.  The first 2 tables are covered in h’orderves such as Honey Filled Olives, Qasalan Flatbread Delight , Stuffed Grape Leaves, Three Layer Hummus,  Seaweed Wrapped Dumplings , Altadorian Cobb Salad, Korbat Wing Soup, and Tyrannian Goulash. 

The next 4 tables has vast amounts of main dishes, plus accompaniments.  There are Altador Dogs, and  Beast Burgers for the kiddos, plus Chocolate Duck Rump, Rotten Negg and Onion Quesadilla, Meat Pastry, Brains a la Tree , Crypt of Spaghetti , Rest in Peace of Chicken, Bronto Bite Smoked Meridellian Fish, with sides of  Lotus Rice,  Whomp Berry Noodles, Durbage, Gorerito , and Stone Roasted Vegatables.

The3  sweets and pudding tables are the most overflowing, and most loved.  There are milk, dark and white chocolate variations of every neopet available from the sweet shop, as well as other goodies from Sparky’s Sweet and Bakery store.  There is also a chocolate fountain, with Ghost Marshmallows and Vanilla Orange Biscuits on a stand alone table, plus Fruit Cornucopia , Ice Cream Dumplings, Light Faerie Sorbet, Taelia Gateaux, Buttered Watermelon, Ghost Puffs, and not to mention masses of Pumpkin Pie for anyone who has room!

Qando Fruit Punch flows freely and everyone eats much more than they thought possible!  Much socializing is happening at every table, and happy words are passed about the new Mr & Mrs, who it needs to be noted are staring lovingly into each others eyes.

Sparky and Lisa sit quietly in the corner, absolutely exhausted from the past months work to arrange everything.  But every little detail went as planned.  “I think its time for bed” Sparky whispers to Lisa, just seconds before Shawna’s boys Charr and PJ grab each lady by the hand for a dance.  The lights are flashing out to the music and the dance floor fills with happy people.  As Lisa zooms past Beth in a twirl she manages to shout “My feet hurt” to which Lori – who appears from a crowd of pets -  agrees with!

“I’m getting too old for all this” Tina moans, but quickly forgets that thought as Sparky announces that they are both probably “just too sober” and they head to the bar.  Sitting at the bar are Sandy and Moon, who to T’s and Sparky’s surprise are nursing big drinks of TEA!  Gena bustles past with a tray and announces that she found cake and all of them tuck in once more!

Doom and Dotty come together for their first dance, and then the whole dance floor erupts into a Thriller Dance Off!

Many conversations, laughs and hugs are shared, and the party goes on well into the early hours.  Sure ghosts and witches and werewolves filled the room at midnight, but only because all the trick-or-treaters from all over the Haunted Woods joined the party to share the love and hauntings of that Hallowedding.
